Pet-oriented businesses continue to grow at Cummings Center

Cummings Center welcomes another animal and pet-oriented business to campus this October.  Beverly Animal Natural Health Center is a treatment center that focuses on holistic remedies and overall wellness treatments for its four-legged patients.  Founded in 1998, Dr. Nancy Crowley’s practice will bring more than 30 years of experience to a new center located at 950 Cummings Center, Suite 99-X. Dr. Crowley is a native of Boston and is a 1992 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, which is now known as Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.

The location is just a few steps away from long-time Cummings Center client firm, Four Leggers.  Four Leggers Doggie Daycare, also located at 950 Cummings Center, offers an array of services at Suite 108-Y, including doggie daycare in its indoor and outdoor play space, pet grooming, dog walking and training, dog hikes, and pet sitting services.  Recently, Four Leggers Pet Supplies and Services opened its doors at Suite 101-X.  The retail space offers a wide variety of dog foods, toys, leashes, treats and day-to-day necessities.

PetEdge, the largest supplier of wholesale grooming supplies and discount pet products to pet care professionals and independent retailers, also calls Cummings Center home.  While groomers, kennels, veterinarians, and breeders are very familiar with PedEdge’s outstanding reputation as a wholesaler, visitors to Cummings Center can also enjoy their terrific products at the company’s occasional samples sale, held at PetEdge’s offices at 100 Cummings Center.

For pet owners who may be facing a legal situation involving their dogs, Jeremy Cohen of Boston Dog Lawyers, could be a welcome solution.  Located at 100 Cummings Center, Suite 207-P, the firm offers legal representation in cases involving pet custody, dog bite defense, and ownership cases such as complaints filed against owners by animal control offers, neighbors and others.  As noted on their website, “We protect and defend responsible dog and pet owners around the country when their rights to keep and own a companion animal are being challenged.”  Read more about this unique law practice in Salem News’ recent profile of Boston Dog Lawyers.

Dog walkers and pet owners looking for an appealing walking route are welcome to visit the one-mile path encircling the Cummings Centers picturesque Lower and Upper Shoe Pond. The tree-lined route offers paved walkways, numerous benches, picnic tables, a lovely view of Upper Shoe Pond’s fountain, and about two dozen interpretive plaques along its length.
